When the beautiful Gemma first arrived in our boutique we knew we had to have her as one of one of ours. Smiley, excited and absolutely gorgeous, we wanted to be part of her journey right through to the wedding……… who would have thought that that journey would stretch longer than planned.
When covid swept over the world Gemma’s plans and wedding gown were shelved until further notice, with the original wedding date set for 17th April 2020, she was one of the first hearbreaking calls that happened when no one really knew what the future held for the millions of couples about to embark on married life together.
Chris and Gemma set a new date for the April 2021, surely that would be okay right? Boris was not on their side though with weddings being one of the last sectors to shake the rules, they were forced to reorganise one final time for 6th August which turned out to be the magic date and the day went ahead in all its glory.
The Ribble Valley is home to some of the most beautiful venues but Stirk House is one of the most sought after. A Charming building set in stunning grounds, it offers everything a newlywed couple could want for their wedding day and with team members Dave, Lucy and Danielle running proceedings, every detail was in safe hands.
Gemma had the some of the best names in the business to make sure the day was everything she dreamed of; Lottie Designs did an amazing job capturing all the special moments, Ewood Florist gave an impressive ivory floral display, whilst Nichola Parkinson and Leanne Jackson worked their magic on hair and makeup to her the bride and her tribe looking flawless.
Gemma wore an exquisite pure ivory dress by Eternity Bridal from Amelia’s Bridal whilst her maids Lauren, Kayleigh, Annie, Amy and Hannah wowed in olive dresses by Kelsey Rose also by Amelia’s Bridal. Chris and his groomsmen wore a sleek tuxedo by Moss Bros Menswear which complimented the bride perfectly.
Here at Amelia’s we will miss Gemma and her tribe coming in to see us for their appointments, you are truly a beautiful bride and a lovely person that always made us laugh.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs McCraith , this wedding was a long time coming but definitely worth the wait, the happy couple got to celebrate their marriage exactly how they always wanted.
