A dazzling afternoon full of celebrating all things for the bride to be ……………
When Patrick from Mytton Fold breezed into our boutique to borrow a suit one day, he threw us the question “Shall we have a catwalk?”
Our response… “Absolutely it’s been far too long since the last one!” Let the planning commence!
We already had the gorgeous venue Mytton Fold as the setting, after a planning meeting we started to put the word out for all the other incredible wedding suppliers we would need to make it an afternoon for brides to remember.
Creative Venue Styling would compliment the already beautiful wedding room and create the perfect backdrop and décor for our models to showcase our gorgeous new collection dresses.
Simon Wright, MOP photography would be in attendance making sure the whole event was photographed to perfection.
Charlotte Riley of Bridal Hair by Charlotte would be there to pamper our models and make sure thier hair made a statement as well as the dresses.
Amy Lauren Mua, wedding makeup specialist would be pampering the models and giving them all an extra glam makeover for the occasion…. Just as if they were real brides.
The one and only Exceed Events would be setting the vibe for the event with their fabulous DJing and entertainment talents.
Now onto the models …………
Do we go profesh? Do we use our own team? I mean, Boutique owner Jo is ALWAYS up for being star of the show, but then once she is unleashed she can be a bit extreme in her crowd pleasing antics ……… In the end I think stage fright got the better of us and we decided to bring in the experts and plant ourselves firmly behind the scenes. Sorry Jo, back up!
Lets line up please the very ravishing, Amy, Molly, Anita, Laura, Katie and Becky, ready to showcase our latest collections.
This would be a ticketed event (free tickets) available online so that all the gorgeous brides to be could make sure they had a seat, we started off with 100 tickets and the day the ad went live they were immediately taken, lets increase the ticket numbers….. nope gone again……. A final number of 250 was set and was all taken! Now all we had to do was finalise what dresses were for each model, complete a running order and the rest would be easy!
The day was here and we were all up super early to get our 60 beautifully steamed bridal gowns across to Mytton Fold. Our whole Amelia’s team was there to make sure things went off just how we like it – perfectly!
Once all the final touches were in place and all the excited brides were seated with their nearest and dearest, it was time! First song up….. VOGUE! The atmosphere was electric and we were straight away reminded why we loved catwalks, you could just tell how excited everybody was. It really does build the anticipation if you’re planning a wedding. Behind the scenes ran like clockwork, the models showcased our collections beautifully and we knew the hard work was worth it.
After the show the suppliers involved had a prize to go in a draw and the lucky winners were chosen – 4 lucky brides to be walked away with either £1000 towards her wedding gown from us, Dinner, bed and breakfast from Mytton, Photo booth from MOP photography and room décor package from Creative Design.
It has been wonderful to meet so many brides since the catwalk who enjoyed the afternoon and for whom it has become a part of their journey as a bride.
We have been lucky enough have had lots of brides from the day choosing their wedding gown with us which has been so special – we appreciate and care about each and every one of you.
